Partial Heiligengeistfeld Space Usage in 2017 Hamburg, 21 December 2016

The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (FHH), represented by the State Ministry for Economy, Transportation and Innovation (BWVI), will make partial spaces of the Heiligengeistfeld, one of the most popular event areas of the city, available for a brief period in 2017 in return for a usage fee. The usage availability that is currently very limited due to extensive detection of explosives and restoration work will be expanded from 12 September until 16 October 2017. 40,000 m² will be provided during these approximately five weeks during which spaces from 5,000 m² up to the entire partial area may be used.

Interested event organizers can submit their applications for usage of the space to the State Ministry for Economy, Transportation and Innovation (BWVI) until 15 February 2017. However, the detection of explosives and restoration work will continue during this time, so that construction noise and explosive ordnance clearance activities must be expected during events.

Information on the availability of partial spaces for 2018 is expected by October 2017.

Applications with descriptions of the proposed events and specifications of the desired area size and duration can be submitted to the
